The Greater New York Naginata Federation will be holding a dan promotion examination up to the rank of 2-dan, after the Yamauchi Memorial Taikai on Sunday, February 25th. All candidates must be members of the United States Naginata Federation in order to qualify.

Our 7th Annual Yamauchi Memorial Taikai will be held on the second day of our 2-day annual event. This is a great time for new competitors to experience a full naginata tournament or for experienced players to compete against new players!

Our annual seminar held during the last weekend of February is a great time to learn from amazing guest instructors and meet new people from other dojos! The weekend consists of a full day seminar with a promotion exam at the conclusion of the day, followed by a tournament held the next day.

Registration is open to all levels (yes! beginners are welcome).
