We encourage participation of everyone in as many events as qualified for. If you would like to participate in any of the engi-kyogi or team shiai events but do not have a partner, we can select one for you! The taikai events are:

• Dangai Engi-Kyogi: Shikake Ooji 1, 2, and 4

• Yudansha Engi-Kyogi: Shikake Ooji 2, 5, and 7

• Dangai Women’s Individual Shiai

• Dangai Men’s Individual Shiai

• Dangai Open Individual Shiai

• Yudansha Women’s Individual Shiai

• Yudansha Men’s Individual Shiai

• Yudansha Open Individual Shiai

• Team Shiai: 5-person team, open rank and gender.

Bracket-style tournament will be held. For shiai-kyogi matches, each match will be 3 minutes, with a 2-minute encho, and a hantei. If there are not enough competitors for a particular event, round-robin will be done instead, making the matches conclude with a hikiwake if there is no point given during the 2-minute encho. 

The Open Dangai and Yudansha Shiai events are gender inclusive. If there are not enough players for a single event, then events may get pooled together. Events are also subject to cancellation if the number of competitors exceeds the allocated time slot of the venue.

Registration for the tournament is using the same form as the seminar. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 31st.
